The Working Process of the Internal Combustion Engine
Sustainable Mobility, Transport and Power Generation
26th - 27th September 2019, Graz, Austria
The demand for mobility, transport and power generation is constantly increasing and is currently being met in many cases - and in some applications nearly exclusively - by internal combustion engines. In the further development of the internal combustion engine, the main question is how to meet the challenges of environmental soundness and sustainability. In all applications, the focus is on reducing pollutant emissions even more and achieving the very ambitious CO2 target values. The key technologies for doing this are found in the areas of future fuels (e-fuels, etc.), new and enhanced engine and exhaust aftertreatment concepts and electrification of propulsion systems. An extremely high degree of system integration, digitization and simulation will open up and pave the way to these new solutions.
During the conference, new approaches and concepts implemented to meet these challenges will be explained and discussed in more than 40 lectures by prominent international experts. The emphasis is on propulsion concepts for passenger cars and trucks as well as large engines, to which a separate parallel session is devoted. The lectures will be complemented by the "Sustainable Shipping Technologies Forum", which will present international research for sustainable solutions in the area of shipping.
We cordially invite you to participate in a discussion with renowned experts on the state-of-the-art in the internal combustion engine and its potential as a sustainable propulsion system that will continue to play a central role in a wide range of applications. We are convinced that the event will provide in-depth insight into current research and development results and thus enrich your daily work.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Graz!
